Spanish designer Anke Schlöder FW08 collection featured randomly draped dresses. I love this technique because of its freedom of form. I can so see a t-shirt with a men´s shirt draped like these onto the tee surface and sewn on by hand. The idea is that you sew only the points that have your pins on. OR you can just sew a straight sticth all over the surface which will give your garment a darned look. Much like the stitched wearable art works of Danny Mansmith. Anke´s SS08 collection is also worth checking out because it has a variety of garments constructed and bound of different colored fabric strips.
