Needle knit dress Ioannis Dimitrousis

This must be the newest subcategory in DIY fashion. A hybrid between sewing and knitting, needle knitting! This dress by Ioannis Dimitrousis is just amazing. Darning needles are good for this project as they are thick and blunt. All though you´ll propably need about 2000 of them.. These photos below are from Ioannis Dimitrousis Summer 2009 collection. I worked in the showroom that had Ioannis's stuff to be lent out to magazines...that dress was a pint in the neck! it was always spiking people and getting tangled up, and someone would have to sit there pulling all the needles back into position! AND there is another version of it that is floor length! amazing to look at though :)
