I never knew there were so many different types of neckwear until I met Jenni Ahtiainen, the design genious from Finnish accessorie label gTie. Plastrons, cravats, crosets, decolts, mourers, bows, ties, bowties... Oh boy! At some point Jenni got tired of the very narrow selection of (mens) neck accessories and started making her own with graphic details and more than a shake of that rock 'n' roll attitude. Instead of the traditional tie models gTIE concentrates on exceptional choice of material such as steel studs, lace, patterns, and embroidery. Her creations suit special days perfectly like weddings other formal occations or just something rad for the everyday dandy. And make a hell of a lot better Fathers Day and bf birthday present than the so sad looking comically patterned silk necktie. She recently opened up gTIE webstore so her collection is now available worldwde. Photos by Utu-Tuuli Jussila.
