Some of the posts might seem like that I write about the same stuff over and over again. You're right, I do! For me the idea is not to always find new trends to post about, but rather to find things that will last in fashion and can be worn for seasons on. One part of sustainable fashion is to create designs that do this as good design stands time. Party season is soon here and the need for new wardrobe ideas rises. Accessories are always good way to style an old dress to look complitely new. Body harnesses is one accessory to have. I predict it will stay in fashion for many seasons and they are easy to make for DIY beginners. Basically all you need is a pair of pliars and chain. Check out my earlier posts on chains for tutorials and inspiration for projects like these!
Feather shoulder chain epaulette by Dmetal.
Chain and fabric body harness by Clydes Rebirth. Simple design for fabric scraps and old necklaces. Works well with matching refashioned clothes to jewelry.
Chain body harnesses by Snefter.
Hand and shoe chain harness is by Dear Bearcat.
Body harnesses can also be made from ordinaly sewing supplies like elastic band and leather. I adore this handmade printed elastic band harness by Norwegian Wood. And her hair and makeup looks killer good.
This feather shoulder harness by MetamorphDK is very versatile as it can be bound around the shoulders and neck in a variety of ways! Genious design.
