I just bought these from Etsy. I needed more handmade metal on my fingers. More the merrier. This time I´ll be getting a birds foot double ring from Snash Jewelry and a gargoyle ear cuff from Ring Ring Ring. I´m also hoping to snag one of these soon.
Marios Schwab's summer 2011 collection is a combination of lingerie, biker chicks, and occult symbology (pentagrams, crosses, pyramids, the all-seeing eye..) but styled in a more modern way than what we´ve seen in most fashion blogs this spring. Even though Style.com did not like the reconstructed underwear slips, I did. Very much so. And the chunky heeled mules.. I need to find myself a pair of early 90´s boots and cut the top off. Finish with leather painted occult symbols.
I cannot say how happy I am about spring finally coming. It feels like an awakening. Out with the old and in with new. A time for spiritual growth. OutsaPop Trashion unravelled second hand Marimekko-shirts photographed by Dorit Salutskij. Coming soon to my Etsy shop.
Cut and braided jersey dress by Platunum Evil. You can DIY this from a maxi jersey dress with loose sleeves. Check out tutorial by Midinetti to see how they are done.
Anyone who knows me can tell you that I´m definately not a friend of bling. If it is tight and shiny it usually equals "cheap". But trashy can be a kick ass style if you´re doing it right. And now I´m telling you to invest in second hand bustiers that are sequinned and beaded to the bone. Marc said it best. "Our favorite color this season is shiny". Damn right.
One option to ripping the lace off from second hand underwear is to cover them with something else. Like similar colored ribbons and fabric scraps. Hand sew them on and you´ll have a summer top/bra that does not have to be hidden under our clothes.

Below: "Bustier stripped it from its lace, found wonderfull sheer light blue fabric underneath. Sketched and scratched a bit on the fabric with black and blue markers." So don´t be affraid of the girly lace in second hand underwear. After it´s taken out you might end up with a Mugler styled clubbers dream.
Loving this suspender detailed shirt by Dion Lee. Shirt back cut outs are sexy and this brings a hint of masculinity to the lace alternatives seen before.
This is for you people who don´t understand why I write my blog. I share ideas for free to anyone who is willing to listen to me for a sec or read my post. And will continue doing so as long as possible.
Give and it will come back to you a thousand times more. ...Well actually almost 100 000 times, since there is already over 95 000 of you monthly coming back here.
I saw these embroidered Mariachi styled cropped pants over at Spanish Moss vintage. These are already unfortunately sold, but the idea can be easily DIY´d. Black pants + two/three braided ribbons. Pin and sew. The only place you have to sew by hand is the pocket area, for obvious reasons.
A very practical side to this summers new-hippie-chic is patchworking. Although I love to shred denim and make holes to clothes, sometimes they get ripped in places that need fixing. These patchworked denim shorts look delicious! I would fix denim shorts like this s tha fabric is ripped right under the back pocket. At least for me it is then too short to be worn as your but cheeks show. With patchworking you can add length to your shorts. Using patterned cotton or denim fabric scraps for this project have a more hippy look to them, but I´d also think about using leather. It can be glued on..
